Lillly Pilly Cherry Surprise is a naturally compact, extremely hardy plant with striking bright red new growth that contrasts beautifully with the older green foliage. Small cream flowers appear in spring and summer. Perfect for hedging, screening and topiary. It can withstand light frost and is drought tolerant and psyllid resistant. Mulch well after planting and water well in dry weather. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain a dense hedge. Fertilize with a slow-release fertilizer in late winter and early autumn.
